Hi, I’m Grant Hood, a UK-based Joomla developer focused on building practical, lightweight extensions and digital tools for real-world websites.
I’ve worked extensively with Joomla for many years, developing custom extensions, templates and workflows for organisations, memberships, public-sector projects and business websites. My work focuses on creating tools that are easy to understand, integrate cleanly into existing Joomla sites, and solve genuine problems without unnecessary complexity.
The projects published here are designed to improve Joomla workflows and usability while remaining flexible, maintainable and straightforward to use.
Development approach
The goal is to build Joomla extensions that are:
- Lightweight and easy to integrate
- Practical and focused on real-world use cases
- Flexible without becoming overcomplicated
- Joomla-native in workflow and behaviour
- Maintainable for both developers and site administrators
A strong emphasis is also placed on portability, reusable workflows and non-destructive behaviour wherever possible.
Current projects
Current publicly available projects include:
- Decision Tree — interactive guided workflows for Joomla
Additional Joomla extensions and utilities are currently in development, including tools focused on download management, workflow guidance and reusable site functionality.
